Welcome Back!!!
Fri 09 Sep 2022Welcome back to school everyone!
I hope everyone had a fantastic summer break. We have returned to school and hit the ground running! The children (and staff) have returned excited and ready to learn. There is a busy Autumn Term head of us and I do believe I have heard a rumour that our wonderful Halloween Disco is returning! Watch this space for details.
I do have some upsetting news. Toward the end of the summer break, we have had some criminal damage. Trees situated near our new reading benches, have been deliberately damaged. We have reported the incident to the police who will be conducting their enquiries. If anyone has any information about this incident, please can you contact school where all information will be treated confidentially?
I look forward to inviting you onto school site for “meet the teacher” sessions and class assemblies. It will be wonderful to see everyone in person!
Please keep an eye on the website as new things are added weekly. One very important addition is our link to NOS (National Online Safety) which provides us with lots of information about the games the children play, social media and things to look out for to help keep our children safe online.
As the term progresses I will update you with lunchtime arrangements. As you are aware over the next year the entitlement to a free school meal will expand across the school. This initiative has started with Reception. We have a logistical issue, as we eventually will provide meals for over 475 children. Our hall has multiple use, as the dining hall, for PE, assemblies/concerts and lessons throughout the day. We have to timetable 17 classes with 2 time slots+ per week and take into consideration lunch times and assemblies. At the moment, Reception and Year 1 use the dining hall with everyone else eating in class. This has worked exceptionally well for the past two years. Over the next few weeks, we will timetable in more classes. I will keep you updated.
Thank you for your continued support and, as always if you have any queries or concerns do not hesitate to contact school. We will always do our very best to help and support.
