FREE SCHOOL MEALS

Dear Parents/Carers,
Further to previous correspondence, the Local Authority are pleased to announce the roll out of free school meals to all Year 1 pupils after February half term. Please note this will be automatic and there will be no requirement to apply for the meals.
The aim is to roll out to further year groups as soon as possible and we will update you on our progress in due course.

Dear Parents/Carers,
Important information
There is planned strike action by teachers who belong to the NEU on Thursday 2nd March.
As a result, our school is closed to pupils, apart from both Year 4 classes whose trip to Cardiff will go ahead. School is also open to non-striking staff.
Please check our website and dojo messages regularly. If the above information changes we shall endeavour to inform you as soon as possible.
Further industrial action is planned on Wednesday 15th March and Thursday 16th March. We will write to you again a week before these dates with a further update.
The teaching staff and I want to see an end to this period of dispute and a return to normal school life as soon as possible.

SUPPORTING TURKEY AND SYRIA

We are delighted to have raised £862.00 which we will be sending to the Red Cross to support the relief effort in Turkey and Syria.

Non-Uniform Day

As a school we would like to support the people of Turkey andSyria who have been devastated by the awfulevents from earlierthis week. We have a number of children and staff whose familymembers have beenaffected by this tragedy.
On Friday 17th February, we will be having a dress up day wherethe children can come to school dressed infancy dress or in non-uniform. We are asking for a small donation to be sent in to school,with all the moneybeing sent to the Red Cross to aid their effortsat helping those affected.
We really appreciate your support.

Rags 2 Riches
Thu 09 Feb 2023Massive thank you to everyone who sent in clothes for our Rags 2 Riches appeal. The clothes have raised us £108.04. Well done our Eco committee for helping to sort the clothes and fill the van up.
There will be another collection in the Summer Term.

As part of Sketty Primary's continued commitment to the wellbeing and happiness of our children, we would like to invite you to take part in our Whole School Approach to Emotional and Mental Well-being(WSAEMW) audit. This audit will be shared with all our stakeholders and will form part of our School Development Plan.
There are 7 sections in total. Each section has between 3 and 8 questions. The form should take around 5 minutes to complete.
