Nursery Applications

From September 2021 onwards, schools in Swansea will be responsible for the administration of their nursery applications and parents wishing to apply for a nursery place for the coming academic year can do so by contacting the school of their choice directly. 

We know that finding the perfect setting for your child is important. For any queries about applying for a Nursery place in Sketty Primary, please contact our Nursery leader, Cath Fox, via email FoxC17@hwbcymru.net

Please note: A Nursery place does not guarantee a Reception place in our school. You will be given notification as to when to apply for a Reception place through county. 

Applying for a place in Reception or Year 7 (Starting September 2022)

The online system for Reception and Year 7 applications September 2022 is now closed.
Please contact the Admissions Team for a late application form at admissions@swansea.gov.uk

Please be aware that if you wait until the last day to submit your application and experience any difficulties completing the form, there will be no technical support available after 4.00pm on closing day (26 November 2021).

Key Dates for Reception Applicants:

19th April 2022 - Parents who have applied on time will be notified about whether or not they have been allocated a place at the school of their choice and if not, where there is a place available.

20th April - 13th May 2022- Parents who have applied on time can appeal against an unsuccessful application by requesting an appeal form from the School Admissions Team.

1st March 2022 - Parents who have applied on time will be notified about whether or not they have been allocated a place at the school of their choice and if not, where there is a place available.

2nd March - 25th March 2022 - Parents who have applied on time can appeal against an unsuccessful application by requesting an appeal form from the School Admissions Team.
