Eco-Code Competition

It is a requirement of the Eco Schools award that we have an Eco-code. The Eco-code is our mission statement. It should demonstrate- in a positive, clear and imaginative way- our school’s commitment to improving our environmental performance.

The whole school has a key role in developing the code and that is why the Eco committee are launching a competition to create one. The Eco-Code may take the form of simple phrases, a poem or a song/rap. They can be recorded, created on the computer or hand drawn. The children of Sketty are proud to be part of a Platinum Eco School and of all the things they do to raise awareness of environmental issues here and around the world. Our Eco-Code should highlight this.

Closing date for entries is Friday 16^th May and the winner will be announced shortly after. The winning entry will be displayed in the school and will be part of our ongoing commitment to a greener school and world. Children can email their entries to Mrs Palmer or hand them to their class teacher. (Make sure their names are included with their entries)
