Parental Workshop
Helping Your Autistic/ADHD Child Thrive - Different Not Less
An inclusive workshop for parents who want to better understand ADHD, autism and neurodivergence
An inclusive workshop for parents who want to better understand ADHD, autism and neurodivergence whether your child has a diagnosis or you just want to find out more.
This supportive session explores how neurodivergent children may experience the world differently in their thinking, attention, emotions, sensory processing and communication.
In this workshop we will:
Understand behaviour through a neurodiversity lens
Explore attention, regulation and executive functioning
Consider sensory and language differences
Share practical strategies to reduce overwhelm and build psychological safety
The aim is to help you feel more confident in understanding, supporting and advocating for your child, with practical ideas you can use straight away.
The session will be facilitated by Siwan Etheridge, a Neurodevelopmental Specialist and Speech and Language Therapist with 16+ years’ experience across health and education. She is the founder of the Swansea-based practice The Way I Learn, supporting children and families with speech, language and neurodevelopmental needs.
She is also a specialist teacher for ALN, a qualified dyslexia assessor, researcher and lecturer. Her work focuses on helping children and the adults around them understand how they learn best, building confidence and connection.
