• Swansea Parent Carer Forum Survey

  Please can you read and complete the following from the Parent/ carer forum, just a quick reminder these are our special guests this week, for our ALN coffee morning. 

   

  Dear Parent Carer, We are very pleased to be releasing our second Big Survey for Swansea parent carers of children with additional needs or a disability, building on its successful launch in 2021. A really important part of our work is learning about you and your lives and experiences. This helps us to continue to build a strong collective voice to make sure services meet the needs of children, young people, adults with additional needs or disabilities and their families. We expect the survey to take no more than 10 - 15 minutes depending on the number of children and adult sons and daughters you have with a disability or additional need. We have worked hard to make the survey clear and easy to navigate but if you do need support to complete the survey, then please contact us.

• Art workshop

  Year 6 had a fantastic day exploring the creative style of Banksy and making their own interpretations of his work. These pieces of art will be used as part of the gallery during the Taliesin Dance Project week in June. Diolch i Mark Haycock for facilitating the session and inspiring the children to express themselves.

  Our amazing Year 5 pupils have been working so hard with Mrs Porter and Mrs Stockton to prepare a 10 minute show at the Grand Theatre. They are performing on Tuesday 13th June with tickets available now from the Box Office.  https://www.swanseagrand.co.uk/PrimaryPartners 

• Welsh Language Fayre

  PS3 enjoyed a great day at our Welsh language fayre. They had the opportunity to practise and use their Welsh in vlogging booths and other VR activities.

• Inspirational Welsh speaker

  We were so lucky to have TV and radio presenter Ameer Davies-Rana in school last week. Such an inspirational person who told us all how speaking Welsh has helped him to achieve all his goals.

• Dylan Day Competition

  Congratulations to our Year 5 pupils who have been recognised as winners for the Dylan Day competition.
  
  Their work will be featured on the big screens during the main Dylan Thomas Prize award ceremony at the Great Hall on Swansea University’s Bay Campus on 11th May. They will also be on display boards in the reception area there on the night.
  
  We are all very proud of them for their amazing work.
