    Mon 30 Jun 2025

    Dear Parents/Carers,
As we come to the end of a wonderfully busy and successful June, I want to take a moment to congratulate all our children for their incredible efforts, achievements, and enthusiasm throughout the month. Your energy and commitment to learning have truly shone through in every classroom, corridor, and playground.

A heartfelt thank you to all our dedicated staff for their unwavering hard work and commitment. Your passion, creativity, and care make our school a vibrant and inspiring place to learn and grow.

Highlight of the Month: Siarter Iaith Aur Award!
We are thrilled to announce that our school has achieved the Siarter Iaith Aur (Gold) Award! This is a fantastic recognition of our commitment to promoting the Welsh language and culture across the school. Da iawn pawb – we are so proud of this collective achievement!

Let’s carry this momentum into the final weeks of term and continue to celebrate all the wonderful things that make our school community so special.

And finally - today is a very special day as the children find out who their teachers will be from September, there's an air of anticipation about the place as we welcome new children and staff. Here's to a fabulous transition morning!

    Kind regards
    Mrs Bev Phillips

    Reminder

    Camhs in Reach parental session

We are running a parental session on 25th June at 3.30pm with one of the practitioners from Camhs in Reach service. Alison Bond will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and talk briefly about emotional regulation with you.
There will then be a series of 3 workshops in the Autumn term to help parents support their children at home (dates to be confirmed).

There will be child care available on the 25th, please email me on millerj67@hwbcymru.net if you would like to take advantage of this.

We urge you to attend if your child has been involved in previous Camhs in reach sessions, so that you can help support them with strategies already taught, and also if your child is finding it hard to regulate at home and you need further help and support.

  • Art Competition for Refugee Week

    Mon 16 Jun 2025

As part of Refugee week, we are running a competition for the children to design a Moomin house.

The Moomins are celebrating their 80th anniversary this year, The Moomins and the Great Flood is a story of seeking sanctuary. Tove Janson (the author) was inspired to write the book because she was thinking about people who had to leave their homes because of World War II.

We would like the children to design their own Moomin house, either through a drawing, using the computer, or the children can make their own Moomin house. The winning designs/ models will be placed on the school website and displayed downstairs in our School of Sanctuary area.
Closing date for entries is Friday 27th June and winners will be announced the following week.
    Good luck!!!!

  • GOING FOR GOLD

    Thu 12 Jun 2025

EXCITING NEWS - WE ARE GOLD!!!!

Huge congratulations on achieving the Gold Siarter Iaith Cymraeg Campus award – a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to your dedication to promoting the Welsh language. Becoming the fifth English medium school in Swansea to receive this award is no small feat, and it’s clear that your vision, commitment, and strong links with parents and the wider community have played a vital role in this success.

The new Welsh enrichment activities were both engaging and fun, and it was inspiring to see the enthusiasm with which they were embraced. The ethos, attitude, and energy of the Criw Cymraeg and staff were truly inspirational – a shining example of what can be achieved through passion and teamwork.

Diolch o galon i bawb – thank you all once again for such a memorable visit. I look forward to seeing how your Welsh language journey continues to flourish. Bendigedig!
